AMC Phoenix Raven Course continues strong
Phoenix Raven Qualification Instructors with the 421st Combat Training Squadron, demonstrate weapon defensive principles to the Phoenix Raven Qualification Course students in the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center’s Redman Room, Aug. 14, 2020, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The course, which ran from July 27 to Aug, 19, qualifies selected security forces personnel to perform as members of a force protection team assigned to deploy with Department of Defense aircraft to austere environments. Students are trained to perform as teams to detect, deter, and counter threats to personnel/aircraft at deployed locations by performing close-in aircraft security and advising aircrew on force protection measures. In addition, the course prepares students to conduct/report airfield assessments and perform flight deck denial duties on select missions. (U.S. Air Force photo by Maj. George Tobias)
