Through the Lens: NextGen tech allows Airmen to be in two places at once

Col. Dan Cooley (left), 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing commander, stands by as Staff Sgt. Daniel Wymer, a prior 725th Air Mobility Squadron cyber systems operations supervisor, prepares a live presentation to showcase HoloLens augmented reality headset capabilities at Naval Station Rota, Spain, during Exercise Mobility Guardian 2023, July 9, 2023. Cyber and maintenance personnel assigned to the 725th AMS collaborated with industry partners to experiment with the augmented reality technology and increase capability for deployed Air Mobility Teams and geographically separated units. Using HoloLens technology, one individual can don the goggles and controllers from one location, and another individual in another location can look around that setting as if they were there themselves to provide guidance and training.
