MSAS trains Chadian, Nigerien partners

Tech. Sgt. Dan Karnosky, left, a C-130 crew chief with the 818th Mobility Support Advisory Squadron out of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., talks to aircraft maintainers from the Nigerien and Chadian air forces about the C-130 Hercules, the primary topic of discussion during a roughly three-week training program at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, Sept. 14, 2018. The 818th MSAS's mission is to build, sustain, and expand relationships and capabilities of partner nation air forces, specifically those in Africa. Five maintainers from the Nigerien air force and four from Chad will spend about three weeks learning intermediate- and advanced-level maintenance processes of the C-130.
