Expeditionary Center's 421st CTS participates in NYC's Tunnel to the Towers run

After waking up in the early hours to get to New York City from Fort Dix, N.J., some members of the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center's 421st Combat Training Squadron elect to get a few more winks of sleep prior to marching 5 kilometers with a 55-pound ruck sack for the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run/Walk Sept. 28 208. The Tunnel to Towers is a fundraiser in tribute to Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter who gave his life on Sept. 11, 2001. Siller ran from his vehicle in full firefighter gear from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center when he heard of the disaster over his scanner. Siller had just come off duty and was headed for a round of golf. (U.S. Air Force Photo/Staff Sgt. Paul R. Evans)
