Retired Col. Joe Jackson, a Medal of Honor winner from the Vietnam War, gives a seminar entitled "Medal of Honor Flight" during the 2008 Airlift/Tanker Association convention Nov. 7 in Anaheim, Calif. Colonel Jackson is the only living air mobility Medal of Honor recipient. On Mother's Day, May 12, 1968, Colonel Jackson successfully evacuated a three-man combat control team from a forward operating base in Vietnam that was under heavy enemy fire.
