Mr. Gary Kelly provides motivational remarks to the crowd assembled in Grace Peterson Hall Aug. 12 at the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center on the Fort Dix section of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. Mr. Kelly, chief executive officer of SouthWest Airlines, was the fourth speaker in a series of professional development events helping the Center celebrate its 15th Anniversary. In speaking on the growth of SouthWest Airlines, which carried more U.S. passengers than any other airline in 2008, Mr. Kelly said, “It was never our objective to be the biggest - I think that’s kind of a foolish objective - actually, something that you take pride in, the objective was to be excellent in everything that we do.” (U.S. Air Force Photo/Staff Sgt.
