McGuire Air Force Base's Col. James Kerr, 514th Air Mobility Wing commander (left), Col. Balan Ayyar, 305th AMW and installation commander (center), and Fort Dix's Maj. Gen. Kip Self, U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center commander (right), led the pack during the second annual Armed Force?s Freedom Ride on May 18, 2008. The commanders led more than 950 motorcycle riders during a ride which took them from Collingswood, N.J., through historic downtown Mount Holly, N.J., and on to McGuire AFB where the riders had the opportunity to ride down one of the aircraft runways. The ride concluded on Fort Dix where riders were treated to a complimentary lunch and enjoyed a variety of activities including live music and motorcycle vendors.
