In honor National Police Week, Airmen from the 621st Contingency Response Wing participated in various events in honor of law enforcement officers May 10-16 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., and Travis Air Force Base, Calif. National Police Week dates back to 1962, when President John F. Kennedy declared May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and honors law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
