Maj. Gen. John Gordy, U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center commander, relieved Col. Ryan Marshall of command of the 621st Contingency Response Wing, effective Feb. 20, 2019.

Gordy lost confidence in Marshall’s ability to continue serving in a leadership position due to alleged conduct unbecoming an officer.

“This decision was made in the best interest of the men and women serving in the 621st CRW,” Gordy said. "I hold our leaders to the highest standard because that's what our Airmen deserve."

Col. James B. Hall, 621st Contingency Response Wing vice commander, has been assigned as the interim wing commander, effective immediately.
