Colonel Jens Lyndrup is the commander, 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The 515 AMOW provides forward-deployed command and control, aerial port, and aircraft maintenance support to DoD organic and contracted commercial aircraft throughout the Indo-Pacific theater. The wing is comprised of approximately 1,740 U.S. military, civilian, and local national personnel operating from 15 locations including two groups, six squadrons, three detachments, and six operating locations.
Colonel Lyndrup received his commission from Officer Training School in 1999. He commanded the 721st Air Mobility Operations Group and the 660th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and he has served in a variety of leadership and staff positions at United States Transportation Command, Headquarters United States Air Force, and United States Air Forces in Europe.
Colonel Lyndrup is a senior navigator with over 2,200 hours and over 800 combat hours in the C-130E/H/H2. and served in a series of operational roles as C-130 instructor and evaluator, to include numerous deployments in overseas operations and a year-long tour as Chief, Combat Aviation Advisor with the Iraqi Air Force.
