Colonel DANIEL J. EBRECHT

Col. Daniel Ebrecht is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The Expeditionary Center is the Air Force's preeminent authority for expeditionary operations and supports Air Mobility Command's worldwide mission of providing rapid global mobility to America's armed forces. With more than 14,000 Airmen, the Expeditionary Center is comprised of the Air Force Expeditionary Operations School, five AMC wings, and two stand-alone groups, including 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing, 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing, 87th Air Base Wing, 628th Air Base Wing, 621st Contingency Response Wing, 43rd Air Mobility Operations Group, and 627th Air Base Group. These units span the globe operating 24/7 in 42 locations across 24 countries providing global air mobility support, installation support, contingency response, and building partnership capacity. 

The colonel commissioned in 1996 through Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 005, Auburn University, Alabama. Following graduation, he performed as a special assistant to the Commander, AFROTC Detachment 005 before attending Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. His follow-on assignment consisted of operating the KC-135 R/T, Fairchild AFB, Washington and was subsequently assigned as initial cadre instructing Air Force/Navy Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training in the T-6A at Moody AFB, Georgia. Col Ebrecht is a graduate of the AMC Phoenix Horizon-Reach program and transitioned to operate the KC-10A Extender at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey where he was an Evaluator/Instructor/Formal Training Unit Instructor. After separating from active duty, Col. Ebrecht transferred to the Air Force Reserve where he once again operated the T-6A and KC-10A aircraft. His additional assignments include commanding two C-130H airlift squadrons (both in garrison and deployed), serving 22nd Air Force Staff Officer, 94th Airlift Wing Vice Wing Commander, and Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the Headquarters Air Force - Director of Staff (Air Staff, Pentagon).

Prior to his current assignment the colonel served as Deputy Commander of the Fourth Air Force, Air Reserve Command, March Air Reserve Base, California, where he led Air Force Reserve Command's largest numbered air force comprising of nearly 34,000 combat ready Airmen across 18 wings and one group.

Col. Ebrecht has deployed multiple times in support of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH, ALLIED FORCE, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, ODYSSEY DAWN, UNIFIED PROTECTOR, INHERENT RESOLVE, and FREEDOM'S SENTINEL. In his civilian capacity, Col. Ebrecht is a pilot for a major airline.
