Colonel JASON B. WOLFF

Col. Jason B. Wolff serves as the Deputy Commander, 43d Air Mobility Operations Group, Pope Army Airfield, Fort Liberty, NC. He leads a unique stand-alone group responsible for the rapid strategic deployment of forces in support of the nation’s Immediate Response Force and National Mission Force and providing combat training & readiness for Joint and MAF partners. He also serves as advisor to the Senior Air Force Liaison Officer to the Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Liberty Installation Garrison Commanders. Comprised of over 750 personnel and eight Squadrons spanning three operating locations, the 43d Air Mobility Operations Group supports more than 2,700 Airmen and civilians as the installation command team across five Major Commands. To secure national objectives, the group is prepared to meet short-notice, humanitarian, and worldwide mobility taskings. Furthermore, the group provides combatant commanders with Airborne Joint Forcible Entry, combat airlift, aerial port, command and control, as well as other enabling capabilities.

Col. Wolff received his commission through Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base in 2001. In 2007, he earned his Master of Science in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. His Staff assignments include tours at Air Force Logistics Management Agency, The Joint Staff, and U.S. Forces Japan. Col. Wolff’s most recent command tour was the 8th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron Commander at multiple U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility locations. He has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, FREEDOM'S SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE, and RESOLUTE SUPPORT. 

Prior to serving as a Deputy Commander, Col Wolff was the Air Force National Defense Fellow within the Brookings Foreign Policy Program. He participated in the development and execution of high-level conferences, policy papers, seminars, and programs for senior government and business executives covering a wide spectrum of domestic and foreign policy issues.
