CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT MARIAH J. ARMGA

Chief Mariah J. Armga is the Superintendent, 43d Air Mobility Operations Group, Pope Army Airfield, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. As Superintendent, Chief Armga serves as the primary advisor to the Commander on all manning, military education, operational issues, and personnel development within the unit. Additionally, she leads 685 military and civilian personnel providing support to the 82d Airborne Division, XVIII Airborne Corps, and their Global Response Force mission within the Joint Special Operations Command community. The Group is prepared to meet short-notice, humanitarian, and worldwide mobility taskings to secure national objectives and plans and executes support for over 30 percent of all Joint Airborne and Air Transportability Training missions flown by Air Mobility Command and Reserve forces in support of the United States Army. Furthermore, the Group provides combatant commanders with Airborne Joint Forcible Entry, combat airlift, aerial port, command and control, and other enabling capabilities. Chief Armga also fulfills Command Chief duties for Pope Army Airfield supporting over 2,600 Airmen and civilians across four Major Commands.

Chief Armga is a native of Olympia, Washington, and entered the United States Air Force on January 20, 1999. Her primary specialty is Digital Network Intelligence and she has held a wide range of operational duties in the intelligence, space, cyber, and special operations arenas with Air Force, joint, and coalition partnership experience. Her previous assignments include bases in Hawaii, California, Texas, and Washington D.C. She has also deployed three times in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Prior to her current assignment, Chief Armga was the Deputy Chief of Force Structure and Strategic Basing for the Secretary of the Air Force and served as special legislative assistant to the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force. She has also worked as a personal staffer for United States Senator John Boozman where she assisted with the key issue areas of defense, national security, and veterans’ affairs policy during the 115th Congress.
